How many children are there in a class?
In order to get the most out of my classes, I have had to limit spaces to 8 children per class.
Are classes suitable for all abilities?
Absolutely! From novice to expert! The aim of ‘Artventures‘ is to learn new and improve old skills, whilst discovering the pleasure and joy that art can bring. Rest assured if things seem too easy for your child, I will not be afraid to challenge their devlopment. I want to create a safe environment for children to explore their own abilities, with no need to compare their work with others.
Artventures are aimed at children between 6 – 12 years old, but if you would like to get involved and you are outside this range then please get in touch and we can see what we can do!
Where/when are your classes held?
Classes are held in my house in Chipping Norton, in my old ‘music room’ (now my ‘art studio’). This room has always been used for creative purposes and I’m delighted to be able to share its new look with you!
I hold 3 separate, parallel classes a week, I would ask that you pick one session a week for the duration of the project:
Thursday 3:30pm – 5:00pm
Friday 3:30pm – 5:00pm
Saturday 10:30am – 12:00pm
What if my chosen class is already full?
I’m sorry if your schedule means you can only manage one of the classes. I am unfortunately unable to increase the number of places, but would be more than happy to add you to a waiting list and to get in contact with you should a place become available!
Do children need to bring their own materials?
No! If you are part of Artventures, we are on the same team and I want us to explore and learn together. I will provide each artist with:
– An ‘Artventures‘ workbook for our studio work
– An ‘Artventures‘ sketchbook for outside the classroom
– All the paints, pens, brushes, pencils, chalk and watercolours (and more!) that are needed
– A special ‘Artventures’ apron to wear during class.
All that is required is a willingness to get creative (and maybe a bit messy!)
How much does Artventures cost?
Lessons will form part of a termly 5 or 6 week project. Full payment will be required in advance of each project. Please see the ‘Class Dates’ page for more information on these dates.
5 week project – £125 per child
6 week project – £150 per child
Do you have any pets at home?
I do! I am the proud owner of two beautiful and friendly black labradors – Monty and Wilbur. However, they won’t be attending classes!
If your child is allergic to dogs or pet hair, then please let me know.
